CloudSmartz is a small company that has a global presence with some very large customer logos that we are supporting. Advantages of working in this environment is the autonomy we all have to get our jobs done and delight the customer. We do not get bogged down in bureaucratic processes that slow down decision making. We are all accountable and contributors to the overall performance of the company -- if you like that type of environment, CloudSmartz is a great place to work. We also have a great view of Rochester atop the First Federal Plaza
Svantaggi
With autonomy and accountability comes the responsibility of ownership. There is no one to hide behind or to pass work along to. We are small and nimble so there is not a lot of delegation going on. I list this as a negative but it comes with the territory of working at a small business so you have to know this going in. This is not unique to CloudSmartz, but more if you are use to working at a large company with a lot of direct reports this probably is not the environment for you.
Vantaggi
CloudSmartz is a relatively young, ambitious and optimistic company. Success on every project is a constant goal. This company is smart, flexible, nimble and eager to please it's customers. CloudSmartz has a large elastic resource pool which allows them to have the correctly skilled resources involved in all projects and allows them to ramp up and down quickly and efficiently as needed. CloudSmartz is as focused on the little guys as much as their bigger customers. CloudSmartz is committed to the idea that you build your reputation by never failing a customer - any customer.
Svantaggi
It's difficult being the engine behind some very successful, innovative projects and solutions, but then we struggle to claim what we have accomplished. Most companies would rather that they be the ones getting credit rather than their software partner. It's reasonable (no matter even if we provided the solution ideas and all the development from idea to design, to implementation), the company that paid you wants the credit to be theirs of course. So we tend to be the wizard behind the curtain, but we're trying to establish a proven, documented, demonstrable track record and some of our most successful work is difficult to claim publicly.
