I had a terrible manager who would manage by fear, leave you do your work on an island with no guidance or possibility to ask questions but would yell at you for any tiny mistake or if you did something she didn’t agree with. She also didn't care about your growth potential. Everyone on the other teams would get promoted, but she managed the only team with no promotions. This person was an exception in the company that has a lot of great people and leaders in it. It is just too bad to leave a couple of bad leaders ruining the experience for their teams. Fortunately, this person got fired after my departure from the company. It is just too bad that it took 6 years and a lot of constant complaints to HR from everyone on her team to finally see that happen.
