Vantaggi
Its remote but barely, you will be in video meetings nonstop and they watch everything.
Svantaggi
You will be micromanaged on a scale you never could have imagined before. Senior/Manager level leadership will sell you the world to get you to come over but none of it is true. It is endless and pointless video meetings and role- play, you are told they value work life balance but it’s also nontraditional hours which turned out to mean go do your thing you need to do but hurry and just make up the time (well over 40 hours already) by working late and working weekends including holidays so you can catch someone. They give you their vast knowledge but they have only been in travel nursing since the onset of Covid, it was per diem only before that and your managers have less travel market experience combined then most of the people they manage. Every second of your day is remotely monitored and they remind of that constantly. During the video calls when the manager screen shares from behind his wall of toys you can actually see the tabs of the games he is playing when he hits wrong screen. And at no point in my career have I EVER been told to fake references, take skills checklists for the nurse and submit them to jobs they aren’t interested in and then try and strong arm them into them like I was there. Then when you say something you are told contradictory things by the managers. The benefits are horrible so if you couple that with the needlessly increased stress in an already stressful environment where is the up side? The grass is definitely not greener.
