-Management is handful of men who shirk responsibilities, make excuses and defer decisions. In one year the teams were reorganized four times. -They talk down to people and humiliate publicly. One particular manager is known for tearing people down. - No HR department, only a part-time consultant. Don't expect to get any HR help. They could use an HR attorney to explain why managers should not talk about politics, political conspiracy theories or anti-vaccination theories. -If you're a serious designer, don't expect to design, unless you want to review other people's designs or design logos. The company's emphasis is not on its creatives but on its engineering side. -Hyper-vigilance on the timesheets. They are picked apart to the minute. This style of management has created anxiety among people. If you have downtime and can't find something to put on your timesheet, people get scared of management because downtime is picked apart. -Management hears but doesn't listen. Codazen only has the world's largest social media company as its ONLY client. Managemnent is at the mercy of what the Evil Empire wants. Teams get thrown under the bus by management because they're scared of losing business. Codazen engineers can't accept code because the company has to review everything and there's no technology used outside of it.  -Work-life balance depends on project. -Company can't market itself to grow business. Also, they don't know how to help creatives, devs or engineers grow in their careers. -Not enough work outside of their only client to learn new things. - Benefits are minimal and basic. NOT competitive.

The employees were generally nice and fun to work with at first, but over time the culture declined as more good people left or were laid off. They have snacks.

Because the company is an agency, projects often shift based on client demands. Upper management rarely pushes back and this results in frequent last-minute changes and a poor work-life balance for primarily the developers and engineers. Compensation and career growth opportunities are extremely limited. If you’re experienced, you’ll likely find better pay and balance elsewhere.
