I couldn't agree more with your advice. When I was managing our Spokane office, one of the measures I used for the health of our culture was the engagement level in fun events both during and after work. At first the principals needed to initiate and participate in the fun to encourage the culture. However, the culture really took off when employees were initiating the fun. That was the indication that "fun" was authentically us, (i.e. far from contrived). If you have an idea for a fun event please run it by your manager or general manager. Glad to have you on our team.
