Great CEO. 4 day working week. Good commission structure. Good working space.

Directors are tunnel visioned and never actually listen to the general staff. Recently becoming more like Nigel Frank with the KPI's and daily target meetings. Not fun. No real opportunity to get to the top. (same old people getting the hand outs) Principle consultants that can't even manage themselves let alone a team. They know who they are. Salaries are pretty low for a company like this in London.

Hi, it's Paul here, I wanted to personally respond. I appreciate the feedback about the business, thank you, and am glad to hear you enjoy(ed) the benefits of our unique working pattern, rewards, and office environment. We certainly try to raise our standards each year, and naturally, we will review how our team are investing their time, but our aim is to give everyone enough clarity and freedom to be their most productive. I appreciate that there have been adjustments as we transition into, and adopt, a new hybrid working process. Hopefully you will see those benefits of our ‘fun and exciting’ environment as we all get back together again. I would really appreciate if you could share your thoughts on how you would like me, and the rest of the management team to help support your growth - whether that’s in your H2 success plan coming up, or even directly with Jon. It is so important to us that everyone in the business feels heard and listened too, so we would encourage anyone to do this if they feel the same. If you no longer work in the business, then I wish you all of the best for the future.

Excellent CEO and Sales Director - a perfect balance between results driven and a personable approach to management for what is an aggressive and demanding industry. Cognitive's brand is received positively by 90% of the clients and candidates you engage with across the Microsoft tech space. They have made every effort to become a more diverse and inclusive work place and have actively encouraged flexible and home working for people with families. Reasonably competitive salary and comms structure set to reward those who are prepared to work really hard for the cause. It is a nice place to work and competitive in the right way. Over the course of my long tenure things have changed many times but they have got the balance perfectly set from top to bottom right now with their people leadership team. As a business they have done so well to look after people during the fraught and anxious periods of the covid pandemic.

Probably need to hire more experienced people still rather than always relying on an old guard of 6 or 7 consultants to perform exceptionally well. This isn't a criticism but the pressure on the better performers is immense. More opportunity and career guidance for junior consultants or those less experienced as the business has grown very quickly and there's good people there who need some TLC. Need more investment in some internal tools rather than relying on legacy relationships and linked in all the time to find good candidates.

It’s also encouraging to hear such positive comments from someone with your tenure in the business, especially around striking the balance between results and personable approach; something we wish to continue as we invest in our growing our leadership team who will develop and support other new joiners. We will look into your request to do with the tools available and would encourage you also to discuss this directly with your manager – we would be grateful for your specific suggestions.
