Vantaggi
Keep in mind that this review is for how the company was functioning at the end of 2014. Small, boutique environment; work-life balance (i.e. little oversight in regard to attendance); free food and snacks; paid "business" retreats that include endless food and alcohol; a few engaging and friendly employees
Svantaggi
After coming across recent reviews, it seems that nothing has changed and they still have not put in place any solid policies to promote a positive company culture or a stable HR department. It only took me a couple of months to realize that this place runs on different rules for each team, mind you they were less than 50 employees at the time I was there, and I was tasked with trying to make a cohesive office out of high maintenance attitudes and complacent management. Without support from upper level management (my direct manager would often go missing from the office), my attempts to develop a functional HR department for the company could not come to fruition and I suspect I was hired to be a dog and pony show for shareholders. I actually moved from my home state halfway across the country to take this role, so I was not pleased when I arrived to find that they were not sincere regarding the need for human resources or adaptability to put in place basic policies to implement consistency across the organization.
