No room to be creative, not rewarded for your own ideas and contribution, actually no need for ideas at all. Last few years all about cutting costs. Out of town location and still cutting work space by more then half. Management not aware of what IT job takes and needs. In fact most of managers have no technical understanding and very shallow technical background. No funds for training people for their jobs all you get is corporate policy trainings, corporate ethics training completely useless for job. Very political, you have to know right people and be good with them to progress or get interesting work. That doesn't depend on your knowledge or skills. Once you try be different they force you to leave. Excellence reward program called you can make a difference total joke. Be ready to talk lot and present yourself. That's all it takes there. Once a year visit from corporate headquarters makes local management go crazy for weeks with preparing self presentations. Be ready to spend more time on dry run presenting until they are satisfied. It's corporate culture week on its best !!!
