Great people and good experience

The pay is not great

- The organization is filled with good people that care about doing great work despite the terrible state of the on-field product in recent years. - GREAT healthcare benefits. Decent dental. - Respectable 401k matching. - Free tickets to games for friends/family.

- Bad pay (though it got better post-COVID). There's a general vibe of "you should be thankful to work here", which to their credit is not an uncommon philosophy when it comes to working in sports. - Senior leadership is severely lacking in change or innovation. There are A TON of people who have worked there for 20/25+ years and as a result they are reluctant to try new things. "This is the way we've always done it" is a very common saying at almost every level of the organization. - Job titles, promotions, and overall upwards progression is rarely merit-based. If you fall in line and don't rock the boat you can be at this place forever (which is evident by the amount of people who have been there for 20+ years) despite not being good at the role you are being promoted to/from. - Leadership traits and overall job skills are not factored into managerial (and above) type positions. Subsequently, there is a trickle down of blame and responsibility that almost always falls to the "lowest common denominator" aka the people that are doing the majority of the work on a day-to-day basis.
