Juniors and leads are committed to the cause and attempt to drive change to benefit the company’s goals. Some really positive and unique friendships on the ground.

Disturbing lack of focus and a lot of childishness from senior management and c-suite. Attempting to reason with them on shelving wasteful, futile (and usually very expensive) tasks or projects is pointless. They go through a thorough hiring process only to ignore or silence that same specialism they brought in. The insecurity and unwillingness to learn from people within the dyeing and textile industry is embarrassing.

Flexible and supportive company. I joined as a contractor during the pandemic with a very flexible contract, which made my life as a working mother easier. There is a good work-life balance, along with opportunities to learn and grow. Once things had settled for me, I was able to switch to a full-time role, and after a few years, I was promoted to a leadership position. There are friendly and talented people all across the board, and the company's mission feels meaningful. I always felt proud to tell people where I worked.

As with many startups that scale quickly, keeping teams aligned in the same direction could be a bit of a struggle.
