Vantaggi

At this point, the only pro is the employees on the ground level. That's the only reason any of us have continued to tolerate this toxic environment. Transparently, the money has become not worth it.

Svantaggi

Commit is like all the other money hungry partner firms just with flashy lululemon swag (that no one actually cares about), despite the emphasis on surface-level perks that the CEO brags about - it does little to offset deeper issues. The expectations around hours are troubling, particularly for junior consultants. Over the past year, projects have been consistently miss scoped as a result of major misalignment from specifically the sales team to the delivery team. That disconnect pushes a significant amount of unplanned work and client back lash onto PMs, PALs, and consultants. So not only is it frustrating you end up doing HOURS of free work because you can’t bill for the company's lack of alignment. Leadership’s constant push to “set the standard” has come at a real cost. Many strong, capable consultants are burning out, often at the expense of their own health and well-being. Turnover right now is alarmingly high, yet there is little transparency or honest discussion about why people are leaving. In just the last few months, several highly respected consultants have exited. These were individuals who advocated not only for themselves, but for their peers and for healthier ways of working. Culturally, there has been a noticeable shift. What once felt like a quality over quantity, consultant-driven, collaborative environment now increasingly mirrors an Ivy League student-athlete, frat-house dynamic that leaves many people feeling excluded and unheard. The reason for posting this is simple: the same stories surface repeatedly across teams and levels time and time again. That story point blank is - Burnout. Not being listened to. Being gaslit when raising valid concerns. Pay discrepancies. A culture of toxic positivity that dismisses real issues instead of addressing them. All dressed up as "Grit." At this point, it has become impossible for me to stay and watch my peers continue cycling through the same patterns of overwork, false promises, and misaligned vision without speaking up. If this review helps even one person feel validated or realize they are not imagining these problems, then it’s worth sharing. The issues are real, and they are systemic.

Vantaggi

There are talented and hardworking employees at the company.

Svantaggi

I have experienced the company as having unclear expectations and communicated standards around billing, escalation, and performance management. In my view, employees have often been expected to navigate highly ambiguous situations with insufficient context, directions, and support, and feedback has not always been communicated directly or consistently. This has increasingly been my experience throughout my tenure within the organization, although this was not an issue early on. One of the most frustrating aspects of the culture has been the lack of transparent communication around performance scalability and performance management as well as a lack of consistent standards of accountability across the different levels in the organization. Role involvement can often change very abruptly with little forewarning or provided justification. More broadly, I have also found career advancement and internal development opportunities to be less structured than I would have expected. Success often seems tied more to navigating internal dynamics and perception than to clear, objective adherence to consistent operational standards. There are talented and hardworking people at the company, and some project experiences have been positive. However, prospective employees should be aware that the environment can be highly ambiguous and lacking in proactive managerial communication and support. Additionally, there are unstated assumptions around billing standards that management does not articulate or hold consistent. I do think these issues, since they are indeed more recent, have been caused by a recent change in emphasis towards growth at the expense of quality, causing burnout and attrition amongst talented and dedicated employees.
