If his or her supervisor had truly acted in the way described above they would no longer be employed here.
As I stated below, we have an Open Door policy that encourages employees to report issues to anyone they feel comfortable communicating with. To reinforce this, I meet all new employees during orientation and give them my card with a pledge that we will respond to ideas, suggestions, or complaints they have.
I would only ask any prospective employee to do their due diligence. Find people who work here and schedule a visit, sign up for our newsletters and mailings, follow our activities on social media.
