The motto of this company should be “but that’s the way it’s always been” because this is how they operate in everything. This would apply to company strategy, benefits, corporate structure and every other possible aspect. They are not progressive and are not industry trailblazers. They refuse to adapt to the changing corporate environment which leaves them struggling to recruit good talent as no one wants to work with mediocre technology and minimal benefits. They will try to convince you that everything is great but any company that offers no flexible work schedule, no remote working, 2 weeks of vacation, and no career growth, can’t keep talented people long. Some managers micromanage beyond anything I’ve ever witnessed, going as far as requesting you notify them when you want to take a break for a few minutes. No one wants to come to a job where they are treated like a child.
