      CIS has an amazing mission to assist people with disabilities succeed in the workforce. I was lucky enough to find CIS when I was at a crossroads in my career and was not sure what was next. I took a job as a job coach and loved it. Since then, I have been fortunate to have many different roles at CIS over the years and found a niche in managing the data and billing for the agency.

      If you do not like traveling around the city to different job sites, the job coaching positions are not for you. If you do not like working in different places every day, then the job coaching positions are not for you either.

      Working with the clients. Improved my skills in communication and advocacy. Mostly flexible schedule. Overall meaningful job.

      Wasn't transparent about the commute (like having to attend training 90+ minutes from home) Last minute schedule changes (like the night before). Very inconsistent scheduling. Checks were sometimes sent in the mail. Minimal benefits for part time. Can lead to burnout and fatigue not addressed by managers.
