Commvault's layoffs are completely repugnant. This measure was only a means to align the pockets of the extremely wealthy rather than to improve the overall infrastructure of the quality of staff. I have never seen an environment where there were more managers than engineers which seems to be the trend in the support department. You can easily remove 50 percent of management and supervisors and hire more engineers to give a better quality of life rather than micromanaging every single ticket and call. Engineers are already inundated with calls they don't need more micro managers.

Our support organization, which is among the mostly-highly regarded in the data protection industry space, is consistently above industry averages for customer satisfaction and in fairness, it’s important to note that Customer Support has a low manager to employee ratio. As you know Commvault announced a worldwide cost-reduction effort, with actions underway to reduce, consolidate and align resources across all functional areas.
