1. Co-founders are very cheap and do not pay the market rate so many top talents left the company 2. Micro-manage all perspective of the business (sales, pricing, marketing), product and technology. Hard to scale even after 9 years as a start-up 3. Cramp office space and broken rest room Suggestion: Talk to the previous workers before consider this company

After 8 years of phenomenal feedback on Glassdoor, we got our first bad review. While I could just ignore this and suggest that this (likely former) employee is simply bitter for having not succeeded on our sales team, I do feel that it's the right thing to respond. At CompStak, we literally do everything possible to make our company an incredible place to work. It has been this focus that has put us on the Crain's Best Places to Work list 5 years running. Last year we were #12 and we're hoping to move up the ranks this year! It has been an incredible year of growth for CompStak. We closed our Series B earlier this year, and since that time we have more than doubled our headcount and opened brand new offices in LA, Chicago and Atlanta. With rapid growth I suppose our NY office has become a little cramped, although at 134 square feet per person currently (yes, we're in the business), we're pretty standard for a tech company in NY. Nonetheless, we're in the process of securing a larger space (with better bathrooms) to accommodate our growth. Despite the fact that we do everything we can to make CompStak awesome, not everyone succeeds (sales in particular is a tough job), not everyone feels that they're paid fairly (although we do our best to make sure they do), and not everyone loves my co-founder and me (Glassdoor ratings suggest that most do) . There is one thing that I ABSOLUTELY agree with from this ex-employee's post, and that is that you SHOULD speak to previous CompStak team members and you should speak to current CompStak team members as well. We're very proud of the culture we've built, and the way we treat our team. Oh . . . and the snacks ARE great! Michael Mandel Co-Founder & CEO
