When I joined I was quite impressed with the culture that was floated. I raised few issues in the team and then was targeted. My line manager was the most defensive person I have seen. Asks for feedback and then defends it and targets.
- No support as a new joiner. Expectations are quite high in a team that is new and figuring out and with no process in place.
- Never felt part of the team as a new joiner. Everyone’s trying to put a show to get some visibility. Prepare to get backstabbed. This is honestly the company culture.
- Mediocre pay with FAANG expectations. You will see the work culture literally getting copied from FAANGs.
- When you are targeted start looking outside. You are going to get kicked out soon
- Work culture is that of putting pressure on the employees. Too many HR emails on new expectations to meet for performance reviews.
- Honestly it is not a 9-5 job. As a senior engineer you are expected to quite a lot more outside your regular work. Most of my team mates used to work outside work hours and weekends to meet deadlines.
- Hire and fire. Interviews that don’t match day to day job expectations. If you are deciding between two offers, definitely pick the other one. I made this mistake and regret it.
