They usually have the final say on hiring and job responsibilities, but many accounts have long term directors that do not perform their jobs properly or are protected by a client of the account. If you have any ambition, very few people will recognize it.

      High performers expected to make up for low performers. Pay is below market. Cliquey environment. Bottlenecked at close with extremely long hours. Internally promotes because they would not attract external talent at their compensation package. Management doesn't address employee concerns.
