No Job Security, if you want to be at a company for a long period DO NOT go to Compass. Compensation is not worth the quality of work at Compass too low. You can be the best person for your position but you will lose your job over gossip.

-Working with kids and the school district and families was wonderful. -Lots of exposure = lots of experience.

-They misquoted my salary on my job offer and lowered my pay by a significant amount after I had already quit my other job and moved states for this role. -Upper management seems completely out-of-touch with direct practice workers. The attention they pay to feedback and requests for supports seems like they are simply checking off a box and uninvested in the outcome. -Classic nonprofit structure where associate, frontline workers are drastically overworked and underpaid while the CEO makes 300k+ annually. People who stick around are either martyrs or dead behind the eyes. -Will try to solve problems with a once-annual staff pizza party. -Extremely high turnover means a client base that is entirely distrustful of the organization, and rightfully so. This is largely ignored by upper management or they pretend to have no influence over this issue when all they need to do is compensate, train, and respect their staff and people will hang around longer. This is not rocket science.
