Senior management thinks of themselves first. While staff get only a 1.5% merit increase, they get 5%. I tried to introduce myself to the CEO once at a regional meeting; I stuck my hand out for a handshake and he just turned around!! The workload expectation is unrealistic. My supervisor, a "C" class employee, watches my time in and out like a hawk, yet leaves for an hour and half everyday to go to the gym.
