Employees were paid until the end of that week, and benefits ended that day as well Employees were given info on how to apply for unemployment and to "check the website" for further information. Then they were asked to contact patients to cancel upcoming appointments, and armed them with no additional information to share with patients i.e. refills, test results, referrals, or where their doctor was going, or how to obtain their medical records. A patient has filed a class action lawsuit, and it is possible employees will do the same. The attorney general is involved, but did not have much to offer. Compass still has not reported critical in to the state, making it very difficult to obtain unemployment benefits. Gradually employees learned that several doctors and misc. admin staff already had contracts with the new agency. Left a bitter taste for many employees waiting on unemployment and scrambling to get health insurance.
