Vantaggi
CDS has proven to be a very flexible place to work in terms of schedule. A lot of smart and dedicated team members. A strong foundation to build into a bigger company.
Svantaggi
Where to begin... In the five years I've been with the company, I've seen a constant and often negative cycle of change. It's a revolving door of executives and leadership, which means there's no common goal or consistent vision. Plans and theories constantly change, creating a chaotic work environment. A small group of VPs, managers, and directors are responsible for most of the critical work. These are the people who give the company its identity, yet they are not recognized for their efforts. Instead, they are burdened with the work that others fail to complete. We often start company projects that everyone champions but then they are left for others to pick up the pieces. There is a significant lack of transparency from the top down. While leadership claims to be fully transparent, they only provide partial information, leaving out key parts of the story. There is 2 or 3 leaders that employees really trust. Good employees are overworked and undervalued. It's especially frustrating given that the team isn't very large, yet many in upper management don't even know their own employees names or what they do. Its hard to even explain our sales strategy because most of our teams don't know what sales is selling, let alone sales knowing the companies products. Its only made worse by a company merge and new product set that no one seems to understand. The company has a wealth of talented people who understand the business and know what it takes to succeed, but their ideas are constantly held back by politics and red tape. This is a major reason why the company isn't growing. There is no investment in expanding the business but there are new roles created to manage, report or advise. I think many of this senior staff is falling into the same trends unfortunately.
