Working at Comtrac has been an incredible experience with so many opportunities for growth as the company has moved quickly from a startup to a fully-fledged enterprise. It’s fast-paced and challenging, but it’s also so rewarding to see the results of your work and to learn from some of the smartest people I’ve ever worked with. Leadership is building the team with more experienced people from enterprise backgrounds, which has brought a lot of new ideas and perspectives. There’s also a real mix of projects and clients, from police forces to other government agencies, which keeps things interesting and gives you a sense that the work really matters. While the pace can be intense, the team is always supportive and collaborative, which makes it such a great place to work and grow.

The fast pace at Comtrac can definitely be a bit stressful at times, especially when things get really busy. It’s also a pretty demanding environment because of the type of clients we work with—being in highly regulated industries (Government) means there’s a lot of pressure to deliver at a really high standard. On top of that, the technology moves so quickly that it can feel hard to keep up sometimes, which can be a bit daunting. With the company growing so fast, there are also some growing pains as processes are being adjusted to handle the shift to enterprise. Balancing the needs of different clients and stakeholders can also get tricky now and then, but it’s all part of the challenge.

Comtrac and its sister company ICETS are an incredible company to work for. The products offered are amazing and the people and management are the absolute best- they make you feel like family and value you as not just an employee but person also.
