Vantaggi

As a large reseller, PC Connection is a great place to understand the marketplace of all types of markets, everything from software, servers, storage, networking and much more. It's a fast-paced environment and the people are very down to earth and great to work with or for. I would recommend PC Connection for new graduates, it provides a great training ground for the aforementioned reasons.

Svantaggi

Whereas the strategies that have made PC Connection successful have obviously worked, it is a very conservative company that is often late to get on-board with the newest trends and technologies. Internal systems and processes are antiquated and can be frustrating and time consuming. Much of the management team have been around a long time, which can be good but some new blood and ideas would help.

Work with excellent and experienced team that support each other. We have a lot of offerings and capabilities to promote and sell.

Long hours, huge focus on making and exceeding quota, very competitive industry with low margins to win large deals.

-Remote work -PTO given to you upfront along with freebie days to use -People tend to be more collaborative than not -You get to work with a lot of different vendors so if you can build a solid relationship with an account, you can sell all sorts of different things to them

-Terrible pay -CallBack is trash and we all wasted way more time on it than we should -Outdated mentalities from managers and coaches. For example, manager told me to call someone 2-3 times a day and then again the following day. This is literally how you get blocked -Sales coach functions too much like a 2nd manager when they should be a side character at best. Call monitoring, business development, deal progression tips & assisting with internal procedures should be their only responsibilities. They should not have the power to approve quotes, demand thorough explanation for wishing to drop account(s), or pass out inbound leads for example.
