Vantaggi

Somewhat relaxed dress code. General flexible working hours. Global company with some impressive clients. This has to count for something, right?

Svantaggi

Only care about eDiscovery (collect, cull, host, review) while missing the tremendous opportunities for additional technical and professional work. Disregard for any employee's opinion or input unless they are a manager or executive from the historical Consilio company. This includes individuals from recently acquired companies. Unbelievable drive based on metrics. Taken to the extreme of back-seating work flows and critical company processes for the sake of getting metrics in place. Leading to incredible amounts of effort duplication and time waste across the company. If you are looking for professionally challenging and exciting work, this is unlikely to be the company for you. Employee moral is in the tank thanks to the top down lack of insight or willingness to consider any ideas that are not their own. There is a great talk about "creating a winning culture" but I'd argue they don't actually know what that means, unless the culture is about driving revenue through the roof at all, non financial, costs.

Vantaggi

It can be a decent stopgap if you need temporary income, but it’s not a place where you can build stability or feel particularly valued.

Svantaggi

Working as a document review attorney at Consilio was, overall, a frustrating and unstable experience. The biggest issue is the lack of job security. Projects can end abruptly with little to no notice, leaving you scrambling for your next assignment. Despite the expectation that you remain highly responsive and available, there’s no reciprocal commitment from the company to provide consistent work. Management quality varies widely by project. Some team leads are organized and communicative, but others are unresponsive or unclear with instructions, which creates unnecessary confusion—especially when deadlines are tight and expectations are high. Feedback is minimal, and when it does come, it’s often inconsistent. The work itself is repetitive, as expected in document review, but what makes it worse is the pressure to maintain high speeds without sacrificing accuracy, all while navigating ever-changing protocols. Training is often rushed or insufficient, making it harder to feel confident in your work. Pay is low for the industry and overtime opportunities can be inconsistent or suddenly cut off. There’s also a noticeable lack of transparency around project duration, extensions, and selection for future work.
