Let’s start with our Culture.
We have happy employees. We know this because we conduct twice annual Employee Engagement Surveys as just one of the opportunities for our employees to provide feedback. The most recent, completed in April 2021, addresses some of the concerns you raise.
On a scale of 1 - 5, with 5 being the highest score, here are a few of the results from our India-based employees.

Because we do embrace our “We are more than colleagues, we are a tribe.” company value, seeing a friend leave our company and not knowing why can be difficult - we understand that. As a leadership team, we take the performance of our employees very seriously as well as their privacy. If an employee is underperforming, they are given coaching and ample opportunity to improve. The decision to end someone’s employment is rarely an easy one but those details have not, and will never be discussed with the broader team out of respect for that individual.
Just months before we transitioned our employees to work safely from home, we opened a beautifully designed, state-of-the-art 25,000 square foot office space in Virar, with modern finishes throughout including fully equipped Zoom conference rooms, break rooms with espresso and chai facilities, a modern terrace café overlooking the hilltop Jidvani temple and custom art throughout. Our Virar offices are designed to provide employees a home away from home and a collaborative space to do their best work, with a much shorter commute for most employees who live in the region.
Now let’s move to the quality of our Technical Talent and our Products.
We are indeed very particular about who we hire. Our technical bar at Contentstack is similar to most high-tech companies including Facebook, Amazon, Netflix, and Google. While our standards are high we appreciate that talent isn’t tied to specific degrees and we recruit with an eye to diversity and inclusion including background and education - that’s what makes our team awesome.
We have recently revamped our Campus Hiring program to include a more robust selection process, adding women-only colleges (as part of our effort to increase female representation on our engineering staff), and a very competitive pay structure. We are very proud of those results and, like our existing technical staff, believe our college hires are some of the best in the industry.
In public reviews of Contentstack by existing customers, Contentstack is consistently the highest ranked product in its category with 4.7/5.0 stars on g2.com, with the highest customer satisfaction in the industry at a 96.6% rating. Contentstack was also recognized as a Strong Performer in the most recent Forrester Wave for Agile Content Management Systems. In this report, Contentstack also ranked the highest for multichannel support and the third strongest current offering in the entire multibillion-dollar category.
