Awesome coworkers, good culture and work-life balance. Machines are in good condition, tool budget is sensible, computers don't make life miserable. Everyone has a strong work ethic and is responsible. The parts you will get to make are truly incredible.

Since Conturo is mostly a prototype shop and the parts you're making so important there can be a lot of pressure and frustration to get things perfect, but that just comes with the job.

Casual work environment. Easy to request PTO. Can produce high quality machined parts that "look cool."

Was hired as an engineer and was only instructed to do inspection work, no actual engineering. Quality as a whole is not a priority and that department was bypassed on several jobs. Adherence to standards (including the handbook) is minimal. Was not taken seriously on multiple accounts, including when violation of the handbook (alcohol on site) was presented to management. Respect for quality as a department was less than adequate. Product delivery is valued above all else - including quality results, data, proper verification and customer relations. Management lacks the experience to delegate and make informed decisions in regards to customer and regulatory requirements. Culture is very niche and not does not incorporate inclusion for all employees.
