Great place and people but leadership is confused from lack of vision and direction - Recensione dipendente - Hospitality Operations Specialist presso Convene

Leadership seems to be confused about their place in Chicago and the power they have to make decisions. There was a mass layoff in Dec of 2022 and then they began rehiring for the same positions 4 months later, which feels pretty crappy to those previous employees - like a "wiping clean" of sorts. There are a lot of conversations starting with caveats like, "this might change tomorrow" or "one day it's this and the next day, it's that." This is a very uneasy feeling for a company that's no longer a start-up. Workplace especially does not have the excitement or support that it needs to run effectively. It's always an after-thought. The rest of the company doesn't really seem to care about it. This is very unfortunate because these are potential Meetings customers who walk in your doors EVERYDAY.
