I learned how to bartend with no experience—there was good on the job training. Management was patient with the learning curve. Coworkers were nice. Customers were generally nice.

LOTS of employee turnover. Because we were all bartenders/servers, one table getting an elaborate cocktail each could grind your service to a halt on all your other tables, causing you to get even more in the weeds. It felt stressful and inefficient.
