They take care of their people; turnover is very low. Folks like Cooley and Cooley likes them, so you meet a lot of folks who have been with the firm for 20+ years. The pro bono work is not just for show.

Turnover is very low, to the point where there aren't a ton of fresh ideas coming in the door, so there's a little bit of "we've always done it this way" and some degree of resistance to change.

Some offices have awful open layouts and cubicle like associate seating. I also experienced a lot of turnover and instability under the new CEO.
