If you are considering a role at this company, especially following its acquisition in late 2024, I would urge you to proceed with extreme caution. Since the leadership transition and exodus of former executives, the work environment has dramatically deteriorated. The new executive team fosters a culture that can best be described as toxic. Employees are routinely subjected to unprofessional and discriminatory behavior, including inappropriate comments and actions related to religion and physical appearance. Decisions around terminations have been alarmingly subjective—allegedly based on superficial criteria such as attire and body type. Merit and expertise hold little value under the current regime. Promotions are given not based on qualifications or performance, but on personal favoritism and a willingness to cater to leadership's ego. There is no longer any meaningful effort to improve the product or support existing customers. There are also serious ethical concerns regarding hiring practices, including the alleged recruitment of friends and family members by executives, such as the CEO, without any formal disclosure or transparency. In summary, what was once a promising and mission-driven workplace has become an environment focused solely on short-term profit and loyalty to leadership at the expense of ethics, employee well-being, and long-term sustainability. I cannot recommend this company as a healthy or rewarding place to build your career.

It’s important to acknowledge that Copperleaf has undergone significant transformation since its acquisition in late 2024. These changes were necessary. While the former culture was valued by some, it was not commercially sustainable, and the business required a shift in mindset, structure, and pace to support long-term growth and impact. High-growth organizations demand agility, accountability, and often, a different set of capabilities and attitudes—this can understandably feel disruptive to those who were more closely tied to the legacy model. We categorically reject any accusations of discrimination or unethical behavior. Copperleaf has clear policies and procedures in place to uphold fairness, respect, and compliance in all hiring and people-related decisions. Allegations around promotions or terminations being based on appearance or favoritism are simply not aligned with our values or the professional standards we hold ourselves to. We remain committed to investing in our people, our product, and our customers—and to fostering a culture that supports both performance and inclusion. That said, we understand that not every work environment is the right fit for every individual. We wish you the best on your journey ahead and thank you for your past contributions

Company culture supports growth and innovation. Leadership direction is clear and thoughtful. The organization is evolving appropriately to grow market dominance. Management team is doing a good job introducing structure that enables scale while empowering individuals and teams to do the right work quickly. Work is important and interesting. Would highly recommend as a workplace.
