It's been a while since I worked for this company, but the ownership hasn't changed. This is a horrible sweatshop. When I hired on, the owners and all department heads were Christian Scientists and the rest of us were low-paid scum. Management used their Christian Science religion as an excuse to refuse any kind of employee health insurance plan because disease does not exist, so in this sense they are worse than Hobby Lobby which opposes only birth control. Similarly, we were not paid for sick days and had to make up the time. There were no breaks other than lunch, and personal telephone calls were not permitted. An employee once reported them to the labor board for requiring employees to under-report their hours. Since the company religion prohibited smoking and drinking, it was a non-smoking office. But if management found out that an employee smoked on his own time, they would fire him/her. For a prank (I think this happened once), if somebody placed a beer in the fridge they would go on a hysterical rampage. Management was universally hated, especially in tech support (the garage in back). The software itself was grossly overcomplicated by a coding style imposed on everyone by our Christian Science manager. All I ever did for them was fix bugs – there was no end to them. I can't imaging them paying more than $40k/year for an experienced computer programmer in the current market. They are CHEAP. The company is probably making good money, but all profits are skimmed off the top – for the owners. They currently specialize in training for an overrated software product called Crystal Reports.
