The comp structure is not equitable. Some firms offer trails on business you bring in and let you maintain ownership of your clients. Corient pays you a fraction of one year net revenue and the client becomes Corient’s. There is a path to partnership but there is no clarity on what partnership looks like and with the success needed to get there, significantly more wealth, equity and income can be achieved at other firms.
