Vantaggi
The agency is demanding and the environment can sometimes be intense, but overall it’s a nice place to work and the employees have it pretty well. The biggest pro would be the opportunity to advance. There’s definitely a promote from within mentality, with many employees getting promoted each year and lots of opportunity to take on new projects and try new things. The team is a small, smart and a mostly tight-knit group. Everyone cares about their work and their performance. Benefits are strong. They just rolled out company-wide work from home Fridays, which is awesome. Solid flexibility and work-life balance. A few other random thoughts: - High-performing employees are constantly rewarded - There’s a decent amount of transparency; could be more - The client base is mixed – some really cool stories, and some clients that are a bit more in the weeds - The company is evolving into a hybrid marketing and PR shop; sometimes it’s a back-and-forth about where to invest and focus - Very stable in terms of job security
Svantaggi
The clients can definitely be demanding and there’s been a bit more staff turnover than you’d like lately. Some of the processes need major refinement… which most people at the agency see and are working to fix. Also, the company works out of a large Victorian house, so if you’re looking for a fancy downtown office environment, this place isn’t for you. The stress level can unnecessarily peak sometimes, which is annoying. The culture isn’t perfect, but overall the positives far outweigh the negatives.
