Absolute worst vacation policy I have encountered in 15 years of employment. Vacation is accrued monthly during the year you are required to take it. There is no roll-over from one year to another. The only way you can take any type of appreciable vacation is to wait until the 4th quarter and then take all the days you accrued. If I had known the full extent of this policy, I would have not accepted this position. There is no corporate-level on-boarding or training program and it leads to a lot of uncertainty among new hires. It's a lot to expect supervisors (who are new themselves) to be responsible for educating new hires about company strategy, history, and HR policies.
