Vantaggi

I joined CoreLogic in June 2020 as a data and performance engineer, working with a front-end team delivering services via APIs. There was considerable technical debt to pay down, and a strong drive from management to do exactly that. A few months after I started we reorganised our team from 2 groups into 3, which made a considerable difference to our ability to focus on stability and features. This reorg was the result of discussions amongst team members and suggested to management. We were able to spend the time we needed to put out fires, and then engineer the long term correct fixes. I joined a new team two months ago and I'm leading our business-wide rollout of a data mesh strategy. The business recognises that we have too many data silos and these are impeding our ability to deliver products and value to our customers. An essential part of the data mesh is spreading our knowledge throughout the business, it is really satisfying to share what we know. It's my experience that management listens to staff and is keen to take onboard suggestions on how to make the organisation better. One really positive thing I've found is that the people at CoreLogic are genuinely nice - I feel psychologically safe with my colleagues. I believe that we have a diverse workforce and I think that makes us all richer. I really value the drive from the top down to deliver quality products, pay down technical debt and improve our customers' experiences when they interact with us.

Svantaggi

I don't believe that salaries are competitive in the market. This has been thrown in sharp relief in the last 18 months with lockdowns and pivoting to remote work. With remote work now commonplace it is easy to work fulltime for a multinational which can - and will - pay a lot more. HR recently announced that it is going to be mandatory to go back to the office a minimum of 3 days per week. This is actually going to push people away who have been very happy with the increased life-work balance of working from home 4 or even 5 days a week. For the majority of staff there is actually no physical need to be in an office.

Vantaggi

The interview process was well-structured and I was able to have a good sense of the team culture. I spoke with people across research, product, engineering, and design leadership, and each conversation felt intentional rather than repetitive. Another thing that stood out was the onboarding experience, even after accepting the offer. Every step felt smooth - they were responsive, proactive, and thorough in a way that seems pretty rare nowadays. Anytime something came up that needed attention, they were already on it - I really appreciated that

Svantaggi

The interview process has multiple stages and felt longer than other ones. Other than that, none I can think of currently

Vantaggi

Camp L.I.F.T. is an incredible example of how Cotality brings its values to life through community impact and innovation. The program creates a meaningful opportunity to give back by inspiring young students to explore STEM, financial literacy, and leadership, while also fostering strong collaboration across teams and partners such as Foot Locker, Octane, ISACA, Google, and Cognizant. It’s truly energizing to be part of something that not only makes a difference for students, but also builds a strong sense of purpose and pride among employees.

Svantaggi

There are very few downsides to the experience—if anything, the week goes by too quickly and it’s hard to choose which activities or sessions to be part of because there are so many great moments happening at once.
