The people in my department were all great and incredibly friendly, so even as a newcomer temp I felt like part of a true team. They're willing to offer advice and help with anyone else, and the general vibe is always nice. Other than that, communication is good, everyone's kept in the loop day-to-day.

Communication between departments can be a little strained, but it's pretty rare. Wifi connection in the offices is also prone to being spotty, but it's workable.

The County of Riverside is a very forward thinking agency overall. It's a large county that covers a huge area geographically, but it does feel like each department is doing its best to innovate and work hard. There are many people who are enthusiastic and great at what they do.

Like any government organization, there is always red tape and bureaucracy to work through, and a lot of politics. In some places it feels hard to find upward mobility, though there are lots of opportunities countywide if you look.
