Good relationships between sales teammates

Cover did a mass lay-off in early March, ~60% of the entire company (not COVID-19 related.) This surprise lay-off was especially disappointing because employees asked MANY, MANY times leading up to the lay-off if the company was in good financial standing. Just days before the lay-off, we were told we had enough capital to last us at least another year. Questionable sales practices were consistently rolled out by upper management, and concerns from sales reps were rarely addressed. There’s a very strict sales process, and the managers primary responsibility is to make sure you’re following it. Getting creative with your sales strategy was not encouraged. The job of a sales rep was a decent job right out of college, but there’s no clear path for growth, and very few people are promoted. It gets better. Sales reps are required to work weekends, and you’re discouraged and often denied from using your “unlimited PTO”. All in all, there was some good, but far too much bad to consider this a good job experience. I would avoid.
