When pursuing research and development, there's tradeoffs to consider. Do I work in a graduate school lab, where I can pick what areas to focus on, but the resources and pay are a struggle? Do I work for the private sector, where the pay is great, but I'm one small cog in the design? What Creare offers is unique. A balance between a small design firm and a large corporation. The topics are diverse and the atmosphere is collegial. They recognize budding talent so it's up to you to choose how far you want to go and where.

Though projects are well managed and planned out, R&D work is by nature, fast paced and sometimes stressful. There are humps where you have to put the pedal to the metal.

Great projects, great co-workers, opportunity to develop new business leads and bring in new projects if you wanted. Self-driven, lost of autonomy.

Review process can be swayed by one or two bad experiences with a given project manager. 360 review would be better and more useful.
