Vantaggi
-salaried however hourly: must clock in 40 hrs a week (minus vacation/personal/sick) - commission, stock with Amazon, other financial benefits - relaxed environment (Very causal bc computer only sales), co-workers are nice, office is great - most of the department can work remotely - Managers try to do their best to listen to your input, however a lot of red tape to go through with being Amazon owned (pro/con I guess) - Receive a decent amount of time off first year and builds each year on your start date with company (basically doubles)
Svantaggi
- Phone heavy: your day-to-day is based around a cube, phone and laptop - Can be very mundane, basically do the same thing every day. - Authors can be very confusing, rude and demanding. You must have thick skin and a resilient attitude to be able to work here - You need to demand attention and involvement in projects in order to grow within the company. There is little growth in the sales department. However, being amazon owned (part of its many subsidiaries) you can always look into other positions with Amazon or other subsidiaries, which are basically endless. --therefore you will have career development assignments that you need to take seriously - It can be very overwhelming, some days you dread going in bc you don't know if it is worth it.... - Gotta have an eye on the prize attitude
