Only paid on business days the 1st and the 15th of the month. Get a larger paycheck a few times a school year to compensate. Required to work additional hours/home case(s) to earn benefits which may or may not be something you want to do. If placed in a school, they may move you around and not train you. No summer pay like school employees get. Full time hours not guaranteed in summer but possible if you work at their rec locations. School contracts are offered very last minute (not company’s fault).

I started behavior tech this past April. My BCBA was very patient with me since I did not have any experience in this field. The company has been nothing but understanding and compromising with me.

If you are looking to have this as your main job, then definitely pick up on more than one case (after you are comfortable with behavior tech in general).
