Due to the amount of product that this company produces, there is a huge opportunity to learn to design for a variety of materials and products. It's a fun and creative industry, full of exciting people and ever-changing product. I learned so much and have a great respect for many of the people that I was able to meet and work with through my time at this company. The team that I was working with developed a great sense of unity and though most have left, all keep in touch and cheer each other on in our new endeavors.

There is little room for advancement. The core values are not exemplified by upper-management. Suggestions for improvement are quickly dismissed or are met with hostility as if any room for change is a personal attack on management's qualifications. There is an alarming lack of concern for copyright laws and font licensing. The communication at this company is poor at best. The design team was often left to blindly move throughout their tasks, hoping that they were proceeding in the right direction despite multiple requests for feedback. Information would often have to trickle through the grapevine rather than being relayed directly from management. The concerns of employees rarely seem to be considered, even when brought up to HR. Human Resources seems to just be an open ear with their hands tied. Despite being a company and industry largely composed of women, this company has offers only short term disability and no formal paid parental leave and no place for nursing mothers to pump. Sharing hotel rooms with strangers for a week at a time is awkward and exhausting.
