Upper management portrays image of "we're all family and we're all passionate about our mission". Cricut preaches honesty, integrity, and transparency, but fails to deliver on its promises. The culture is somewhat toxic, with backstabbing and tribalism mentality with a lack of genuine support or growth, especially in the SQA department. Opportunities for growth are nonexistent, and any dissent is swiftly shut down. What’s sold as a values-driven environment is really just a facade—an illusion of transparency masking the reality of a deeply flawed, top-down power structure. If you're looking for a company that actually lives its values, this isn’t it. When customer issues occur, middle management becomes overly panicky, over-reactive, and blames the subordinates instead of being responsive, proactive, and acknowledging the bad oversight like a true leader. Even though Cricut "tries" to improve, there is plenty of nepotism and coverup of middle management by upper management.

I loved my team. I had incredible benefits, and the projects we worked on were always so fun.

They moved from a flexible hybrid schedule to encouraging people basically to come back to office. That's why I ultimately left because I wanted a job where I didn't have to put my kid in childcare.

People are careful about what they say to avoid backlash - Instances of inappropriate workplace behavior, including the use of racially insensitive language, which is not always adequately addressed - Feels like image matters more than employees or integrity - Be skeptical of overly positive reviews; they may not reflect the reality many employees experience
