From my perspective my time at Crossroads was undefined most of the time. We were busy as long there was a project to work on, but when the project ended we had some unfilled time which of course was filled in by people doing what they want, whether it was to be on Facebook, shopping or even witnessing a manager working on their personal interest, so the days weren’t completely filled, but we still had to look like we were working. With the owners working from home most of the time always gave me a sense of uncertainty. While the idea of work from home can sometimes provide a benefit, it also creates an environment of not being in touch and lacking some direction, especially if you’re in management.

I know that I never had a job description when I was there, and I never had a job review in over 2 years of being there. I always felt like I was walking on “egg-shells” when I worked there; like I was waiting for the shoe to drop before something drastic would happen and then management would do whatever they could to gloss it over. While most of the employees were nice and fairly productive, I sensed an overtone of fear, like all of a sudden they would be fired from their positions. I guess that’s why I saw 4 out of 10 employees in the office be “let go” in one year. I also felt like after completing a project that sometimes that project didn’t go anywhere, that I was just spinning my wheels and had no effect. That was disheartening. I was also conerned about the company's financial reporting, though I saw financail reports created by management, I never saw a Auditing firm or CPA sign off on any of the financial reports. That made me wonder.
