After 28 yers in busines with revenue around 3M with approximately 20 employees demonstrates the company is unable to grow a business nor have a strategic outlook to their marketplace. This also demonstrates that the owners have created a business to provide an income for themselves but not to make the business a on-going growing concern. Given the current age of the owners, I would expect that they are trying to polish the company up so they can sell the business and retire in about 3-4 years. The owners mindset about the business is dated, as the continue to think its like the 1990's. The non-owner executive management are only concerned for their position and play CYA and are not willing to take any risk or present opportuniites to management that would help the company grow. They toil too much in the details to see the strategic perspective for the company and this attribute adds to the companys lack of a future outlook with no strategic plan. They have a high turnover rate of employees, lack knowing how to take a product or service to market, they don't integrate their techology systems (though the are a technology compnay), and the management for some specific job functions were never trained in the job the are to perform. Very few of the management are trained in business; their background and training is technical in nature but yet they are in management roles that don't concide with their background and training leaving them to learn-on-the-job to perform their responsibility. And lastly, the company low-balls employees salaries while management keeps theirs on the high-side of the industry, and the benefits are only fair at best.
