Vantaggi
Great people. 9/80 schedule. Competitive pay and benefits.
Svantaggi
Leadership doesn't truly value their people as they say they do. Staff are given unreasonable demands and seriously limited resources and are disposable when needed to make the financials look better. The company underbids and over-promises on contracts and then puts the pressure on staff to make it happen. Staff bend over backwards and pull off miracles on a daily basis; there is no work-life balance here if you want to be successful. Working nights and weekends are expected and is applauded vs seen as a systemic issue needed to be resolved. Cubic makes 2-3 acquisitions a year and puts no real resources behind properly integrating them into the firm from a process, culture or technology perspective. This is compounding inefficiencies. I think leadership understands where the issues lie, but they don't want to invest the time and money in fixing them for the long-term. It's all about short term financial results and cost savings. The low morale of your coworkers, the feeling of everything being harder than it should, and not being valued by leadership makes this a tough place to work. It's the kind of place that puts a pit in your stomach as you drive into the office in the morning.
