Good at recruiting talented people. Diversity is valued so you work with smart people from all around the world. While work life balance is an issue, there is flexibility in most areas to work from home, etc. when needed.
Svantaggi
Very poor at retaining employees. Pay is less than market, especially if you move up in your career. The better you do at the company the larger your gap will be to market rate as Cummins doesn't raise salaries enough through promotions, essentially pushing high performers out. Yearly cuts have really damaged morale and cuts over the last 18 months have been handled really poorly by management. Work is very siloed and systems are basic and antiquated.
