- there is next to no training in customer service because management lack these skills in the first place. - management are terrible people, it's as if they hate all of their staff. - they will give less hours to people they don't like/ people who have complained. - you are treated badly by some managers, they will pick on staff. they also gaslight and manipulate staff. you are undervalued, and rarely praised for doing a good job. - there is no cleaner - staff are the ones who clean after a close shift. as a result the building is disgusting and no one is paid enough to do a better job cleaning. all of the cleaning equipment is cheap and bad as well. - as it is a cashless venue, there aren't really tips unless you are really good at customer service and go out of your way to help someone - the temperature is way too hot inside because management refuse to fix air conditioning because it costs too much - some the staff are cliquey, they will gossip about all other staff not in their group, but they're all extremely basic and obnoxious so that's not a group you want to be part of anyway. - there is a very high turnover of staff because it's a horrible place to work, so there are often people on their trial shifts. they end up hiring too many new people and the current staff will get less hours, even if you've asked for more. - they are normally understaffed to save money. there will be one server to a floor in the daytime, sometimes less when someone is on break, which makes it very hard to do everything. - they will make you go through the daily cleaning checklist to save on hiring a cleaner. one of the tasks is deep cleaning the bin store. no one does this because it's really unhygienic cleaning bins and then going back to serving food??? so because of this, the bin store is nasty, and mice can get in. - you are scolded every time you are stood not doing work, even if it's for a couple of seconds.
