Vantaggi
Cyberhawk is a great choice if you're looking for a fully remote role. They also offer an office in a unique space, perfect for those who prefer or occasionally need an on-site environment. You'll have the opportunity to work on engaging projects and tackle challenging software problems. The software team is composed of a few talented individuals, and overall, the team is friendly and easy to work with. The team used to meet quarterly, which was a great opportunity to see everyone and build camaraderie. (Note: As of 2025, these meetups were paused twice due to cash flow issues.) There's also some mentorship available for junior staff, though there's an expectation that you have solid coding skills.
Svantaggi
The company is very much still a startup—or that's the mentality. Given that half the team is based in the US, you may often be required to work outside standard hours—even on weekends. As you progress within the company, the expectations increase to a point where work-life balance becomes nearly impossible to maintain, which I found challenging and was one of the reasons I eventually left. Additionally, the company often feels understaffed, making it difficult to get support and even harder to push your ideas to the team.
