Vantaggi

The product offers a good way for companies to validate their Cyber Security Solutions. Salary is competitive There are some awesome people working at Cymulate.

Svantaggi

1. The CEO tends to make decisions on a whim. It's not uncommon to have an impromptu all hands where he has suddenly decided to make a drastic change to a team or to management without a plan of action on what will happen to that team or next steps moving forward. This results in months of struggle while those effected try to manage the changes without direction. This can be changes to bonus structure, firing of managers, restructuring of teams, changes to the product, etc. 2. If you aren't an Israeli employee it can be VERY difficult to get promoted or make any career path changes. This is especially true for U.S. employees. Cymulate is an Israeli company. They tend to promote Israeli friends and colleagues. U.S. employees often feel like they are hired more out of the necessity to work with U.S. customers rather than because they are wanted. 3. Management shows clear favoritism to some employees while showing negativity to others. Sales is especially bad in this regard with obvious favoritism shown to certain sales people. In one instance this favoritism appeared to be the direct result of an inappropriate relationship the managers was having with one of their direct reports. 4. Suggestions will be largely ignored by leadership. While I don't think this problem is unique to Cymulate, I do think it's worth mentioning. Your suggestions for improving the product (based on customer feedback) will be ignored and even (in my experience) laughed at and invalidated - this is despite having customer testimonials that this is what they'd like to see. 5. It's all about the money for Cymulate. Seeing the way management treated customers was hard to watch. If you are a customer looking to purchase Cymulate, make sure you look over your contract very carefully and be sure to ask other customers what they are paying for similar subscriptions. 6. You will report to multiple managers (and 1 sales person) who will all be trying to micro manage everything you do. 7. Work life balance doesn't exist. You will be expected to work when they want you to. This is often a direct result of time zone or work-week differences between Israel and the U.S.. It is not uncommon to be asked to join weekend calls or to have a manager in Israel schedule a call with you at 5am or earlier (and in some cases much later). 8. Reporting a coworker's or manager's behavior or actions to HR goes nowhere. While HR will tell you that they are concerned, my experience is that nothing will change. Maybe one day this will change. In summary: At Cymulate, it's their way or the highway. As a U.S. employee, you will have little to no influence on what happens or the Cymulate journey. It feels more like being on a runaway train with no clear direction other than to bring in more money for the company.

Cymulate is a great company to work for, with an amazing team and a strong, innovative product that is well respected in the cybersecurity market. The people are collaborative, supportive, and genuinely care about doing things the right way. The company is growing fast, which creates many opportunities to learn, take ownership, and grow your career. If you are proactive, committed, and willing to step up, there is real room for advancement and impact.

Svantaggi

Because the company is growing quickly, some processes are still being refined, which may require flexibility and adaptability

Vantaggi

None really other than the talented and hardworking coworkers. They are good people in a bad situation. Most feel trapped.

Svantaggi

This is one of the most poorly run companies I’ve seen. Leadership changes are abrupt, poorly communicated, and leave teams scrambling. Large portions of the go-to-market org have been cut with no clear plan, leaving the business understaffed and disorganized. Turnover across revenue roles has been high, and it’s not hard to see why. Many of the strongest sellers across North America and EMEA have left, which has impacted continuity and left customers and partners frustrated. Execution is difficult because direction constantly changes. There is heavy micromanagement, unclear priorities, and little consistency. Expectations shift frequently, making it nearly impossible to plan or build momentum. Morale reflects that. The go-to-market strategy has been reset multiple times within a year and continues to change, creating confusion in the field. Compensation and deal reporting lack transparency and consistency. What counts, when it counts, and how it’s communicated is not always clear. The culture does not reflect a stable or well-run organization. Externally, partner relationships are strained due to a heavy direct sales approach, and customer coverage has declined following team reductions. Product continuity appears impacted as well. Overall, the company feels unstable and difficult to operate within. Do thorough diligence before joining.
